Maybe...[it's said in a way like he doesn't think so, but it's better than thinking something worse.] If we're locked in our truck, hopefully the others are, too. Do you think people stuck together after everything?

I don't know... [ hrm. ] I'm not even sure everyone would have been back in their trucks in the first place. It's late, but not that late.

You think some of the others are still inside the store and stuff? Maybe those didn't lock up.

Maybe... But when stores close, they lock up everything, don't they?

I think so, but it's not like we've seen anybody who actually works here. [except for maybe rat man? who the hell knows.]

...if they're locked inside the store, at least they have stuff they can use to try and fight back. [hopefully.]

... Right. And there's no point worrying over them when there's nothing we can do from here. We just have to trust they'll be able to take care of themselves.

Who do you think does the announcements for clean up? That has to be an employee, right? But... is it the rat...?

Maybe, but where are they even making the announcements from? Unless the rat is making the announcements. [he's ignoring that there have been different voices because it's a metal rat. maybe it can use magic too. fuck if he knows.]

Maybe they were using the same PA system that Artemy used...? [ a pause ] What if there's more than one rat and that's why they have different voices?

Rat...people? [multirat...] If all of the employees are rats and nobody's seen them, what if they're the ones killing everybody around us?

Maybe because we were somewhere we weren't supposed to be and it was surprised? [that sounds stupid.] I have no idea.

I really wish we had any sort of clue...

We'll just have to keep looking. That's what we decided, right? Once we figure out how to get out of the truck, we'll start talking to the others again and see if anyone learned anything new.
