meow wow cuddles and sora returns with kairi's keyblade, dropping it on the ground with a hollow-sounding clang before he kind of folds himself onto the mattress on riku's other side. it's fine. whatever. they still have him for right now, so...they can hang on for as long as they can. it takes a little for him to bend himself so that he's curled around both of them as best as he can which is maybe a little weird given riku's dead, but he also doesn't care? he's pretty sure neither of them give a single fuck at the moment so he'll just kind of settle there with her and go quiet.
there is a highkey chance they're both going to sleep like this, except just to drive the knife in further for everybody in this fucking truck he's reaching over riku's body for one of kairi's hands. riku won't disappear if they're holding onto him and onto each other.
they'll figure out the rest soon and make this right again.]

if sora hadn't reached for her hand when he finally settled she would have for his, so there's no hesitation when she grabs on and clutches it like a lifeline. she's shaking and aware of it, but can't bring herself to care. sora's still here. he hasn't vanished. riku's...
he's not here, but he hasn't vanished yet, either.
she's got them. she still has them, dead or vanished or missing their hearts, she's never let go before and she's not starting now. no matter what she has to do to make it true, she'll bring them both back with her back home. ]
